GLOBAL STONE WORKSHOP® 2010
This year's program is the most comprehensive we have ever arranged.
After 16 years of activity we are confident with the workshops we organize. We know that the vast majority of the participants fully enjoy our workshops in Europe and in Asia.
Last year we were in India in a period of over two months.
It was like opening a jewel-case. India offers every opportunity to create artworks in most three-dimensional techniques, from stone to wood, from metal to textiles.
During this first year in India we will have two leaders at each workshop... one from Europe and one from India. Two leaders are required because of very different ¨working cultures¨ that will meet and have to be reconciled. The workshops become somewhat more onerous, but also more effective and exciting.
Moisés Preto Paulo, Global Stone Workshop® partner in Portugal, will give guidance in Goa and I myself in Mamallapuram/Madras. Sharad Kapuskar, an extraordinarily talented sculptor of portraits in stone and bronze, is our main partner in India.
In 2010 we will change a couple of things in the structure of our workshops. We will prolong the start of each of them to be a whole week ... we adapt to those participants who come from far-away ... and we offer fee packages that include workshops, rooms and, in some countries even materials, tools and leadership.
Global Stone Workshop is part of all those associations founded and directed by artists that occupy an important place in a world so severely wounded by unrestrained Greed.
Global Stone Workshop® will participate at the International Art Fair SUPERMARKET in Stockholm, Sweden, February 19 - 21, 2010, where we will present the new program and our latest project called "My Last Container".
